Re: Dutch Wonderland 2010
Cool to see the one ride all drained out (it is, right?). I always end my day at DW on it.

Sounds good! Actually my friend Alex and I were just talking and we may head back out there for a side trip this year. Not sure just yet, but it may happen.

Re: Dutch Wonderland 2010
Does DW actually use the Monorail station in the parking lot? When I drove by earlier today we were stopped at the traffic light at the entrance and the blue train pulled slowly into that station and stopped.
As far as going there, I'd like to, but only to just get the Kindom and Joust Coaster credit, but $25 is not worth the stop in my book.

Re: Dutch Wonderland 2010
I've ridden Kingdom Coaster numerous times and it indeed packs a punch. The last I rode it was in 2008 and in 1994 prior to that and I forgot how good it was. I was told it's alot better than the Scooby Doo coasters at Kings Dominion/Kings Island, Carowinds, etc. I'm debating on trying the Joust though as it would look stupid for me to ride with a bunch of younger kids and their parents. I'd love to at least get the credit though.
I think they stop the monorail in the outside station just to keep the timing of the two trains perfect. They did this on our 2008 visit. Ever since HERCO bought the park, the outside station has never been utilized.
Alex and I plan on doing a side trip out there next month. I should get a PTR up after that.

Re: Dutch Wonderland 2010
They have other rides besides just the two coasters. If all you want to do is just ride the rollercoasters than I think thats just a waist of money and time. Enoy the scenery enjoy the other rides they have. try it

Re: Dutch Wonderland 2010
Yeah they occasionally stop the monorail trains in the stations to keep them in sync. I've never used the outside station, either.
