I still can't believe how I missed this and I was there three times since April.

I also took notice to the overflow lines to lightning racer are blocked off by a perminate piece of fence. It looks like it was just put in recently as the wood on it looked brandnew. I think that would be the perfict spot for the Tilt O Whirl, as it would fit well in the area for space, and the theming.

I remember the blocked LR overflow queue back on opening day. It hardly ever gets used anymore, even on the busiest of days. I agree about Tilt-A-Whirl, I think alot of us here are thinking that it will be moved to that spot for next season, although it hasn't been officially confirmed at all. It's mainly just guessing for right now.

The overflow queue is one of the little things that catches my interest at HP. I have seen it used once, and it's interesting how drastically different the lines can be for LR, or really how they once used to be. It doesn't really fit its use anymore. I can see them fitting something small in the footprint, if they were to remove it. More likely another food stand Neutral than a flat.

Here's your answer on Chaos ever coming back:

Found it posted on International Rides Management.

So I guess this answers the question once and for all that they still had the thing.

Lol - I don't see why anyone would want it considering that other parks that had them are also removing theirs. Wasn't there a safety issue with that type of ride?

Also, did anyone see that there is also a Huss Condor up for sale on their page as well? The pic looks like HP's ride but it's actually the one at SFGAm. Perhaps HP will buy it for parts?

I actually did see that but was very pessimistic because of the location that could provide for a drop tower. If there is no intention however of removing it this could be a cheap buy and they seem to have a lot of mechanical problems with that ride.

I just got back from the park and it was great today. The longest wait I had for a roller coaster was 5 minutes for farenheit. I walked right onto everything else. Right onto the front car of Sooperdooperlooper, Wildcat and Lightning racer. It was a good day. The waterpark was crowded but when isn't it honestly. On the chaos coming back I would love to see it return. I'm guessing it isn't happening but that is one of my favorite rides.

Chaos and the old Enterprise that they had were two of my favorite flats from the park. They were a thrill, now really The Claw is one of the only similar rides left. I believe there was somewhat of a safety issue with Chaos, but I'm not entirely sure what it was. It was a fun and crazy flat ride. Wink

A Chaos-type ride in Michigan broke and flipped onto it's back...the top of the ride landed upside down...in 2001 (give or take a year, but I'm pretty sure it was '01). Chaos was reinspected and cleared by the state, but I remember it being down for a solid week because of the reinspection.

I could imagine how scary it would be, especially in the seats that Chaos had. I do remember some sort of accident report from the early 2000's. I went to the park in 2001 to see some

Here is what a quick google search brought up, it might be what you are talking about:
    http://www.rideaccidents.com/2001.html#aug3
Seems to have happened in a Cedar Fair park.
The accident happened on Monday. The ride's circular platform, which holds 18 cars, somehow disengaged from the ride's hydraulic support arm and crashed to the ground. Thirty-one people suffered minor injuries.

    Here is a follow up:

Sounds right to me. I don't remember exactly how long the park kept it's Chaos down for. Certainly a week at minimum. But I do remember it being closed in August.

Here's something new that has shown up in the last day or two and is pretty cool. From what I've gathered, it's a game where you use your iPhone or smartphone, scan the barcode in line at certain rides and play a quiz. I think you recieve points and the highest scores are put on a online leaderboard for the day.
So far I've only seen Comet have these signs (2 of them) and here's a picture of one of them:

Sounds similar to their way of having an "interactive" queue for some rides. It may not be high-tech like Disney but it's at least something.

You can see those barcodes all over the place now. The way HP is using them is unique - it gives you something to pass the time, which is great.
It seems like other parks should have this too...does anyone know if some other park joined in on it? Now all I need is a smartphone... Wink
