Here's a link to the individual priced ride prices for 2011. Not really any price increases that I am aware of it seems. Black Diamond is on the list as $2.00 (Flying Turns is nowhere on this list and I am somehow not suprised).

Speaking of Flying Turns, it seems that they removed any mentioning of it from the site (except from the 'What's New?' page towards the bottom. I doubt that they are giving up on it, but they probably got tired of the constant questions as far as what's happening with it and will put it back up when (if) it opens.

I'm guessing this answers the question that Flying Turns will not be open then.

Good move on their part. It would annoy me too if I was them. But, everyone looking forward to it opening is already annoyed at the delay! -lol

Looks like Knoebels did some changes to the park. They "upgraded" their Ribbit ride (Frog Hopper) from an S&S Frog Hopper to a Moser Rides Spring Ride (5+5, 7-meter park version). They kept the Ribbit name. http://twitpic.com/4xo43q

They also converted the old cotton candy stand that sits between the Alamo and Playland to a new "Mix-It-Up" slushee stand. http://twitpic.com/4y521u

Glad to hear that they're doing minor changes here and there. I wouldn't mind getting back up there again in the forseeable future. It would be nice to experience Black Diamond at least once just to grab that credit.

Knoebels recieved some storm damage on Thursday night. Here are the pictures on Screamscape (check the sidebar).

From these pictures it looks like the rides were spared, but it looks like Mixer suffered a close miss given that the tree fell the other way from the ride.

I can relate to this, because when I went to Knoebels a few months back, it was rained out. Those pictures show more damage than what the case was for me, however.
When it rains there, - it rains. For me it was a large thunderstorm with close lightning and heavy rain. There weren't any toppled trees or hail on the ground, and luckily the power did not go out. It didn't last very long, and it doesn't look like this one did either (It says about 20 mins). More damage, but it's great the rides were spared, as it looks like the place took a decent hit from the storm.

A tragedy occurred at Knoebels' Crystal Pool early afternoon of July 6th. A young boy was seen under the water. Upon rescue, guards immediately began CPR. Initial reports indicated that he had hit his head. We later learned that no head injury was involved. He was transported by ambulance to Geisinger Medical Center. We are deeply saddened to report that the child has passed away. Please join the Knoebel families in placing the child's family and friends in your prayers.

This is very sad to hear and hopefully the lawyers stay out of this terrible accident.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the boy's family and that this will not evolve into a lawsuit for the park.

A very tragic and unfortunate event. You run into this danger at all waterparks and pools.
I just pray that the family is coping well with their loss.

This is very good to hear, but the person who commented to the story needs to re-read the story to find out that the lifeguards did all they can possible to try and save him.

The reason I ignore comments on local news articles.

That's good to hear that the family won't go after the park, that's a rare thing these days.

According to Knoebels's Facebook, The park was open today, but the pool and a few attractions were closed because of the storm.

According to their Facebook page there is extensive damage from the recent flooding that they will not open this weekend. Here are some photos taken earlier yesterday before it got worse:

This is truly disheartening for such a terrible thing to happen to such great and honerable people. All my prayers go out to the Knoebels family.
