Hersheypark: Easy Pay Wristband

Just saw this in their email news letter:

Hersheypark Easy Pay
No need to take purses or wallets on rides and into water attractions, now you can simply load funds onto a Hersheypark Easy Pay wristband using cash or credit card. You'll have hands-free spending wrapped around your wrist! Wristbands can be purchased and used at most Retail and Food locations inside Hersheypark.

Anyone have any experience using it or more information?

I actually called Hershey about an hour or so ago and asked, I saw that in an HP "Sweetmail" as well. The rep I spoke to said

-Min $20 deposit
- NO Refunds
-Can be used forever(including next season)
-Can be purchased at almost any food for retail location
-Can NOT YET Be purchased at Guest Services or Hospitality Services.
- And wristbands are waterproof.

My cousin still works in the retail department. She showed them to me when I stopped in after the Skyrush announcement. It is an excellent idea. Especially if you have children with you. You can load a band with their spending money and when its gone...its gone.

Only problem with not worrying about carrying a purse...I'll still need to carry my season pass. I refuse to pay full price for food!

-----I KNOW!!! I gotta carry my season pass around, like That 100% defeats the purpose of the wristband! Hopefully, they can get equipment that when the wristband is scanned it already knows it's a season pass holder wristband. Like, activate it when you buy it and show em your season pass, and they smack a button or 2 and the computer system remembers. Hopefully they will implement something like that in over the winter. Having a different color wristband to identify season pass holders wouldn't work since the wristband can be used through seasons.

Good idea but how practical is it really going to be?

Saves you from having to carrying loose articles...so I'd say fairly practical.

Unless you are a season pass holder! LOL.....I did find something interesting though! Hospitality Services can check the balance on these wrist bands. The reason that people can't purchase this through them is that Hospitality uses a different system than the retail stores.
