Hersheypark: Candy coded height requrements outdated?

I would hate to see them go, but is it going to become necesary for Hershey to do away with this system in the near future? What with all the different manufacturer requirements these days getting ever more complex and varying would they switch to straight forward " requrements instead?

I just question since they go in intervals of 6". I mean my son is about 44" and can't ride the mouse at Hershey, but can ride it at Dorney (other manufacturer) and at King's Dominion(same manufacturer/cars as Hershey's, but theme park layout).

I'm sure there's more examples...
