From pictures that I saw of the ride, it seems they have their work cut out for them. They need to repaint, replace old and rotted wood, and inspect everything.(8/10/09) I was contacted by a source at the park who wanted to clear up the details about Blue Streak’s status and eventual reopening. They have informed me that there is no way that the Blue Streak would be ready to roll in time for the Pumpkin Fest this October. While it is true that they have moved the trains around a bit in the station, this is being done for inspection purposes as they attempting finalize the budget needed to get the coaster back up and running for next season. If all goes well, the grand plan right now they are shooing for is to have the Blue Streak ready to reopen in time for the 2010 ACE CoasterCon which will be stopping by the park.

Just after winning the 50,000 dollar grant from Pepsi, Blue Streak successfully made it thru a test run! There are many more to go but this is great news.

They didn't win it yet, but they're very likely to.GreatBearHP wrote:Just after winning the 50,000 dollar grant from Pepsi, Blue Streak successfully made it thru a test run! There are many more to go but this is great news.
